Atlanta graphic designer Mark Weaver has an ongoing collage series called, “Make Something Cool Everyday.” The work combines geographic landscapes and architecture, along with scientific and found photography to create some interesting stories. Referring to his Self-Portrait (pictured above), he explains, “As a small boy I thought of nothing but Bauhaus architecture, grids, and wild elk.”
Watching the designs evolve on Behance, it’s intriguing to formulate relationships between objects and to find a vocabulary for the story. It’s that fascination which makes Weaver’s work hard to classify and put down.

I just saw these illustrations by Nate Luetkehans on Design Work Life. I’m really into the detailed linework set against the bold colours. Nice work!
